General terms and conditions
This site is owned and operated by Starlet Cleaning. If you have any queries about these terms and conditions, or if you have any comments or complaints on or about our website, you can contact us at: contact@starletcleaning.co.uk
1. The contract between us
We always try to provide a quality service for every client that uses our cleaning services. Every cleaner that we employ is personally interviewed and references are checked by us.
Our cleaning services may be ordered by telephone, e-mail, or on-line, and in doing so you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Regular Domestic Cleaning
We ask you to provide us with a list of tasks you want the cleaner to do in advance of your first booking. We can send you a client instruction form that may help you do this.
We ask you to provide cleaning materials and equipment needed, unless alternative arrangements have been made with us. All cleaning equipment should be safe and in full working order. If you do not have cleaning materials, and you ask us to purchase the items on your behalf, applicable service charges will apply.
You must allow the cleaner access to hot water and power. All fragile and breakable items must be secured or removed.
The price you have been quoted does not include anything apart from cleaning and ironing.
If any estimate is given on how long it will take our cleaner to do the job, this is only an estimated price based on the average time it takes to clean a home or office of similar size.
Our acceptance of your booking brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
A minimum of 3 hours per cleaning visit applies. You can change the number of hours, and the interval between cleaning visits, by giving at least 24 hours notice before the next cleaning visit.
One Off Spring Cleaning
We reserve the right to amend the initial quotation, should your original requirements change. A minimum of 4 hours per cleaning visit applies. You agree to provide a list of tasks and all cleaning materials and equipment needed for the work, unless other arrangements have been made with us. All cleaning equipment should be safe and in full working order. If you do not have cleaning materials, and ask us to purchase items on your behalf, and supply equipment, applicable service charges will be applied. If any estimate of how long it will take our cleaners to do the job is being provided by us it is only an estimate based on the average time it takes to clean a home or office of similar size. It is difficult to estimate precisely how long such the job may take and a degree of flexibility may be required. You are advised that a one-off spring clean may take double the length of time required for regular domestic cleaning. After Builders Cleaning, After Party Cleaning, or badly neglected homes, may take up to three times longer than a well maintained home requiring regular cleaning. One Off Spring Cleaning does not include professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, or professional outside window cleaning. Fridges and Freezers must be thoroughly defrosted before cleaning can commence. They will not be covered by the terms if this is not the case. Ovens must be in a condition that will enable thorough cleaning with chemical agents. We will do our best to make sure your appliances, microwave, oven, fridge/freeze, are cleaned to a high standard. However, if they have not been cleaned since they were purchased we won't be held liable for ingrained dirt that cannot be shifted using chemicals. It is always essential you or a member of your household is present at the start and end of a Spring clean to ensure that you are happy and point out areas you want specifically cleaned.
End of Tenancy Cleaning
We reserve the right to amend the initial quotation, should your original requirements change. A minimum of 4 hours per cleaning visit applies. You agree to provide a list of tasks and all cleaning materials and equipment needed for the required work, unless other arrangements have been made with us. All cleaning equipment should be safe and in full working order. If you do not have cleaning materials and ask us to purchase items on your behalf, and supply equipment, applicable service charges will be charged. If our cleaners need to collect keys from a third party's address outside the postal code of the premises where the work is to be carried out then a £10.00 charge may apply.
